REFLECTION.

           

                This last grading, It's our time to realize and feel that our classmates and teachers are important to us. Without the friendship we've been, I will not feel that I'm not only one living in this world, they treated me as a family like what I've treating them. Many funny moments we've done this last grading, many challenges and problems we've been encountered in this grading. Our friendship will stay even if  in college some of us will be separated. Knowing that someday we still care like what we are doing this last few days. Graduation is near, majority on us don't want to be a graduate yet. So, we just erased on our minds that the graduation is now near.

                    In our subject ICT, this was the best grading I've been with my teacher and practice teacher. I learned all the uses of adobe Photoshop. And I enjoyed all our activities on how to edit a picture such as black and white, correcting color, cloning, putting hair color from the tools in the program. In our last exam, I can say that our last exam was very great and so interesting, Why? It feels like we are all professional while our teacher standing at the middle of the computer room and dictating all what we will do, while we are all at in front of our desktop. 

         This last days on my life as a high school student it makes me more defiant and resourceful because of the challenging works and times. And now, I  would like to thank all my friends, best friends, schoolmates, teachers, parents, neighbors, family, God and so on. You were the one who mold my life as a student. I love you all! And classmates, keep dreaming, I know that you can attain your dreams in life. Thank you very much. :)

CHANGE starts with ME. >:)

Change is like a tornado: it comes without warning and can turn your house upside down or let it down safely. Either way, nothing will ever be the same. A lot of people believe that tornado is a synonym for change. Gandhi once said “be the change you want to see in the world”. To me this means you have to take responsibility for what you want to accomplish.

Taking responsibility for your actions is important in becoming a change in the world. In order to make a change, you have to want to do it. If one of your friends dared you to go help a grandma cross the street, you need to want to do it, not do it because your friend dared you. Be responsibly if you decided to make a change in the world. Responsibility comes from within. So take responsibility seriously. Another good example of being the change in the world is picking up trash in parks, on the road, on sidewalk and even in sporting event places. To be responsible means to be a source or cause.
Secondly, people want the world to be a better place. Some people go around the neighborhoods talking to people and earning their trust about what they can do to help our world. Trust is earned. It does not just appear at your door step. If you recycle and other people see that and follow you in that direction, they will know that you’re trustworthy. If you start small, you will end big. So doing little things to earn others trust will give you a head start in being the change you want to see in the world. If a lot of people are having problems, help out someone out- you never know what you will get in return!
Not only being responsible, but having good character and a positive attitude will lead you to being the best you can be in order to change the world. You will never accomplish anything if you don’t have the guts to do it. The kids that do drugs and drink alcohol are less likely to be a change in the world. It is us, the people who care, and are willing to do anything to turn the world around and put it back on its feet again. If you’re a human with no good character or good attitude, don’t put things up to the last minute. Being self confident about your beliefs is having good character. Also, be committed to what you want to change.
A lot of people want the world to be an improved place, and in order to accomplish that goal, they need to believe they can do it. To be the change you want to see in the world means to be responsible for your actions. So let’s make a change today, even if we do it one by one, we can all make a different because life’s short, so let’s make it better by living in it and trying to change it. You don’t have to be some famous leader to make a change. Just take one step at a time. Try making a change every day, even if it’s not a huge one. The small deeds will build up to something immense over time.

 

Change is the only permanent thing in this world. Change is the process of being different. :)

KANNAWIDAN.

               On the 7^th of Kannawidan Festival let's once again bring back the past, culture and traditions.  This celebration started last January 29, 2014 and ended on February 03, 2014, a one- week long festive of happiness.This is not only for us to reminisce the past but it unites Biguenos. 

               We should be proud of for this is the only city that is preserved. I’m glad to see that even children participated and danced through the ethnic music, it means, our culture is still alive even we are here in we so called “modern world”. They are not shy to show where they came from. They are not shy to wear “bahag” that symbolizes our very own culture. 

               OTOP of different municipalities were displayed, by these we can see how creative they are to transform raw materials to a useful one. A simple food to a unique one like ginger tea, squash noodles and many more, which is not common, I bet they are all delicious.  Biguenos are really talented. 

                 Kannawidan Ylocos Festival aims to create awareness  that we are rich in cultural heritage, practices and traditions that attracts tourist. We should never forget the past, for they bring us to fame. We should treasure and preserve those for the next generations to witness how rich Ilocos Sur in culture, traditions and practices.

After 10 years... ♥

              

   EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS!!! When I hear this quotation my mind always talking and she tell that I want to be a teacher someday.

            I know that to be a teacher is a very drudgery profession, but I know that this is what I want. So I choose it to be my course. I choose it because I know in myself that I want to teach and help students to reach their dreams in life and I want to be a role model, a good role model to my students and the same with my fellow teachers someday. I will teach them a good value. I also choose this course because I am inspired by my grandmother, when I am looking her when I was still young I told to myself that I would be like her someday. When I am watching her teaching, I saw her eyes that she is very happy. When I see her smile my heart is smiling and dancing because of the happiness it feels. So my mind starts to ask questions. And I know that I can answer those questions if I would be a teacher someday.

            I know that to be a teacher is not that easy. I just have to believe in myself and do my best so that I will be a prosperous teacher someday. I have to face all my problems face them with all my strength I have to be brave so that I can follow the foot step of my grandmother. When I will become a true teacher someday I will be happy that I will share my knowledge to my students who are willing to reach their ambitions and dreams in life. I will be the right way for them. SELF-TRUST IS THE BEST ELEMENT TO SUCCESS.. 

NEW YEAR, NEW ME.

New Year has always seemed to me a beginning of a new cycle, or a new path of self-development, but I never write detailed resolutions, having only abstractive understanding of my plans for future. But this year will end with a following resolution.

First of all, I would like to become more assertive and self-confident. I need thus some more courage in my daily affairs. In addition, I need some courage to esteem my faults and failures and put them on the path of improvement: it seems like I'm becoming dependant upon the opinions of my surrounding (friends, relatives and classmates), so I would like to manage some situations on my own, without relying upon the others' advice or imposition. I want to become more independent in my attitudes and viewpoints and to get the ability to separate my judgments from those of others.

Then, I would like to become more honest with myself. Sometimes I seem too benevolent and justify inappropriate behaviors of my friends, yet there couldn't be any justification. I also use this technique to justify my own mistakes, yet I should simply accept myself as a human being who has an inclination to making mistakes, because this is the most trustworthy way of gaining experience and knowledge.

Thirdly, I would like to slow down my life, because it seems too busy, so I have almost no time for self-reflection, introspection and communication with my family. Sometimes it seems like my nearest and dearest people receive too little attention and care from me, so this gap will be filled and I will spend more time with my parents.

To sum up, I would like to say that I will not keep waiting for New Year and will realize my plan in the nearest future... It is not necessary to wait for new cycle in order to change your life, because some alterations can and must be done immediately. 

ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS.

ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

 The true meaning of Christmas, I believe, is Jesus Christ itself. He was born for a purpose and it was sacrificing himself just to save the sinners and imperfect people like me. Christmas is not just about the expensive gifts, new gadgets and branded clothes, but it’s all about the birth of the Man who saved us from the death and payed for our sins. Christmas is all about Him.

             To me Christmas means a time of happiness towards everyone. It is a time when families and close friends come home from all over the world to be with the people they love. To most people family and friends come first in their lives, so this is obviously a very favored holiday.            I cried in pain to see how people tend to forget the true meaning of it. They were blinded by the culture or the tradition they thought were all correct. What’s more disappointing, is that they are oblivious on their actions. They all thought that it was correct to celebrate that way for they never heard the truth.
            Christmas time is my favorite time of year. I love when it’s time to shop for all those Christmas gifts for everyone. I love the red and green decorations, and my beautifully decorated Christmas tree sitting in my living room. I love the snow, when my grandma makes her gingerbread cookies, and the great music. But most of all, I love this time of year because I get the chance to be with my family and friends while I enjoy everyone’s Christmas cheer during this wonderful time of year.            So this upcoming Christmas, Let’s celebrate it differently. Let’s celebrate it as how God wanted it to be. Let’s all celebrate Christmas with Him. For Emmanuel has born which means God is with us.
           We should make sure that as we celebrate Christmas, God is truly with us.

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPURTUNITIES..

             

 Women and men have equal but different missions in life, each pursuing their own path to holiness. For women to adopt the lifestyle of men is not only contrary to their nature and divinely given task, but betrays a lack of self-respect for their own dignity and worth.

               It is disturbing to see that in society today I see as many unjust women as men. Most women have declared that women and men should have equal rights and I, as a woman, have to agree. However, many women today are abusing their rights for their benefit. What happened to equal rights? We may have equality in rights but we are not created equal, yet in some situations, e.g., in the workplace, many women lash out their anger and blame men. We are put on earth to do different things. We are built differently and we think differently. Naturally, women and men will have disagreements now and then. However, women must recognize that misusing their rights to take revenge for what men did in the past will not solve anything. Many women still believe that most men today view women as inferior, but when the fight for equality becomes distorted, women can be as sexist, prejudice and based as men.
